RWE npower has recently completed converting Tilbury Power Station into a 100% biomass plant. Wood pellets and other sustainable biomass fuels are delivered in ships using RWE npowers modern jetty.
It is expected that the plant will reduce its carbon emissions by 80% compared with its previous operation as a coal burning plant.
