The Port of Berwick-The Gateway to Southern Scotland and Northern England is a commercially flexible port situated on the Eastern border between Scotland and North East England, equidistant from the Rivers Forth and Tyne. 5 mins from A1 Frequent trade to European, Baltic and Mediterranean Ports . Cardiff Bay is a sheltered freshwater bay covering about 200 hectares on the Bristol Channel at the mouths of the Rivers Taff and Ely. The Cardiff Bay Barrage itself is 1.1km long and extends from Cardiff docks in the north to Penarth in the south. Falmouth Harbour is reputed to be the third largest natural harbour in the world. Falmouth Harbour Commissioners are a statutory port authority with responsibility for the Inner Harbour at Falmouth. Falmouth Harbour Commissioners (FHC) and The Crown Estate have signed a lease to create FabTest, a new wave energy ‘nursery’ test site in Falmouth Bay on the south coast of Cornwall. FabTest, which is not grid-connected, will enable wave energy generation device developers to conduct sea trials of their devices in moderate seas, close to port facilities. It is a stepping stone to the deployment of arrays of devices at Wave Hub, the world’s largest grid-connected wave energy demonstration facility installed 10 nautical miles off the north coast of Cornwall last year. The site park aims to pull together commercial and academic organisations and marine energy assets to create a vibrant and dynamic centre of marine energy in the region.
